Our Vision is to see all children thrive.

We envision a system of care in which each foster child has the capacity to not only overcome their trauma, but to flourish.  We believe that society underestimates the significant and permanent healing effect of a child being embraced by the safe & loving arms of a parent who is skilled in dealing with children exposed to abuse and neglect.  We believe that not only does each child have the right to a safe and loving home, but it is our responsibility as a community to ensure that all children find such a home.

We believe that foster parents must empower themselves, and become the impetus behind real change in not only the system of care, but also the laws that govern it.  We may often feel that our voices are not heard, but when we as child advocates find our collective voice (a voice fueled by the pure desire to see better outcomes for children), its power and effectiveness will surprise us all!

Our Mission:

South Florida Fosters is dedicated to finding and supporting foster families in South Florida.  Our mission is to provide better outcomes for children in foster care, through the support, education and empowerment of those who care for them.

Our program services aim to ensure skilled, committed and loving foster families are available to meet the diverse needs of abused and neglected children.  At South Florida Fosters, we equip foster families to have the tools and parenting techniques required to successfully parent a trauma exposed child.  We mentor foster families throughout their entire journey as a foster parent, from the licensing process, all the way through to case management and court room processes.   We increase the number of foster families through not only the recruitment process but also by decreasing attrition rates through on-going mentoring, training and advocacy, which ensures their success.
